Angela Fegers teaches classical Modern styles, Limon and Cunningham, and Composition to students who are training to become professional dancers at the Ausbildung, Danceworks in Berlin.
This class focuses on momentum and moving through space on a
horizontal plane- while still experimenting with movement material that travels in and out of the floor. The class has developed from classical ideas of Graham, Limon, and Cunningham and translated into contemporary ideologies.
The research I have made for the class comes from a broad variety of training of which I have had in America and Europe. Ideas of falling, twisting, and diving are all incorporated as the class builds from the ground up, and moves at high velocities through space while standing. The momentum from one movement brings you to the next naturally, paralleling ideas of the body moving you forward in life.
